November 2023 - Our CEO, Sayan Gulino, has recently been recognized as one of the 11 finalists in the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2023 (EOY) Indonesia program.

The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year program is a global initiative that celebrates entrepreneurs who showcase purpose, vision, and success through impactful innovation.

For over 15 years, Sayan Gulino has played a pivotal role in the success of Waterbom Bali, contributing significantly to its remarkable achievements. This dedication has led to Waterbom’s consecutive acknowledgments as Asia's #1 Waterpark by TripAdvisor, along with prestigious awards such as the PATA 2023 Grand Award in Sustainability and Social Responsibility, and the World Travel Awards.

"I'm deeply honored and humbled to have been chosen as a finalist for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of The Year program. Connecting with CEOs across diverse industries has been a wonderful experience, and it's been a privilege to share and learn from fellow leaders dedicated to driving impactful change,” Sayan says.

Waterbom's commitment to innovation goes hand in hand with its dedication to environmental sustainability, through its program, Karmic Returns. As a strong advocate for the coexistence of ecology and economy, Sayan firmly believes that businesses hold a fundamental responsibility to act conscientiously and contribute positively to the planet. While reimagining the water park experience, Sayan has upheld eco-conscious practices, integrating sustainability into strategy and operations, making Waterbom a symbol of responsible tourism.

This dedication has led to the endorsement of Waterbom's net-zero plan by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), aligning our greenhouse gas reduction targets with the objectives of the Paris Agreement. As one of the 45 SBTi-approved companies in the tourism sector, Waterbom stands as a leading example of a responsible business and continues our dedication to contributing to a greener future.

Sayan's entrepreneurial spirit drives his involvement in Waterbom's ongoing growth and expansion initiatives. At present, he's engaged in developing an exciting new project earmarked for launch in 2024/25. Additionally, he's focused on producing a sequel to 'Balancing The Waters,' his 2019 documentary that brought attention to the pressing issues surrounding Bali's water crisis.
