ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
Main Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Planning
- Proposing and discussing financial strategies to align with the organization's goals and objectives under the supervision of Director of Finance.
- Implementing the strategies and update the management on the effectiveness of the strategies and the result.
- Evaluate and recommend financial opportunities for growth or cost savings to the management.
Financial Reporting
- Overseeing the preparation and finalization of financial reports for management and external stakeholders under the guidance of the Director of Finance.
- Supervise Head of Finance and Accounting to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Leading the budgeting process and providing financial forecasts to support decision-making by working closely with department heads to set financial targets as well as operational metrics.
- Provide regular financial forecasts based on current performance, market trends and other data.
Risk Management
- Identifying and handling financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and laws and report any suspected irregularities to the management.
- Identify and assess financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate potential issues under the supervision of Director of Finance and undertake due diligence when necessary.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations that may impact the organization's financial health
Financial Analysis
- Lead his/her team to conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement both business and profitability and report it to Director of Finance.
- Lead his/her team to analyze financial trends and present insights to Director of Finance and senior management.
Team Leadership
- Leading the operational finance team, providing guidance and direction and discuss with Director of Finance if and when necessary.
- Providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.
Adhoc
- Involve in strategic projects as requested by managements under the supervision/coordination with Director of Finance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Minimum 3 years Experience in the same or higher position
- In depth knowledge of Financial Regulations, Accounting Principles, and Taxation
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and numerical skill
- Prior experience in Hospitality industry or large scale organization is an advantage
- Good communication skill
