ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

 

Main Responsibilities

 

Strategic Financial Planning

        • Proposing and discussing financial strategies to align with the organization's goals and objectives under the supervision of Director of Finance.
        • Implementing the strategies and update the management on the effectiveness of the strategies and the result.
        • Evaluate and recommend financial opportunities for growth or cost savings to the management.

 

Financial Reporting

        • Overseeing the preparation and finalization of financial reports for management and external stakeholders under the guidance of the Director of Finance.
        • Supervise Head of Finance and Accounting to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

 

Budgeting and Forecasting

        • Leading the budgeting process and providing financial forecasts to support decision-making by working closely with department heads to set financial targets as well as operational metrics.
        • Provide regular financial forecasts based on current performance, market trends and other data.

 

Risk Management

        • Identifying and handling financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and laws and report any suspected irregularities to the management.
        • Identify and assess financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate potential issues under the supervision of Director of Finance and undertake due diligence when necessary.
        • Stay informed about changes in regulations that may impact the organization's financial health

 

Financial Analysis

        • Lead his/her team to conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement both business and profitability and report it to Director of Finance.
        • Lead his/her team to analyze financial trends and present insights to Director of Finance and senior management.

 

Team Leadership

        • Leading the operational finance team, providing guidance and direction and discuss with Director of Finance if and when necessary.
        • Providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
        • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.

 

Adhoc

        • Involve in strategic projects as requested by managements under the supervision/coordination with Director of Finance.

 

REQUIREMENTS

        • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
        • Minimum 3 years Experience in the same or higher position
        • In depth knowledge of Financial Regulations, Accounting Principles, and Taxation
        • Strong analytical, reasoning, and numerical skill
        • Prior experience in Hospitality industry or large scale organization is an advantage
        • Good communication skill
