Accessibility & Inclusions Guidelines

At Waterbom Bali, we aim to provide a space which allows guests to feel welcome, included and able to access facilities in the park easily. Accessibility is an ongoing learning process and we hope to continue improving as best we can. This guide covers a range of accessibility based on global recommendation and standards.

Yellow Wristband

  • - To help our staff identify any guests with accessibility requirements, we will offer for you to wear a yellow wristband (not compulsory, but helps us to be aware) and this way our staff can assist with access where needed or help those with mobility issues

Accessibility Access Areas:
Wheelchair Access:

  • - We do our best to make our park wheelchair accessible and include ramps, wide pathways, accessible toilets and other facilities to accommodate wheelchairs
  • - However, please note that not all areas and attractions are accessible

Ride/Slide Access:

  • - Please note that not all slides and rides are accessible for wheelchair users
  • - Also prosthetic limbs or other rubber based covers or prosthetics are not allowed on Body Slides (eg Smashdown, Climax and Fast n Fierce) as they will slow the rider down and may cause safety issues

Sensory warnings:

  • - Given the nature of our waterpark, guests can expect splashing, loud noises and some crowded areas with guests during busy and peak periods.
  • - Our kids area features a giant dump bucket on top of the playground which will splash regularly and create a loud noise and large splash zone.

Staff Training & Communication with Guests:

    • - Training is provided to our team to help them be understanding and sensitive to the needs of guests with disabilities, or sensory and cognitive challenges so we can try to provide a welcoming and supportive environment.
    • - Please remember our team is still learning and if they are not aware of the correct sensitive language or approach for treating these types of guests or cases, please be understanding of language barriers and challenges as well

Verification of Disability:

To ensure that the benefits provided under this guide are offered to those who genuinely need them, guests may be required to provide one of the following forms of verification:

  • - Government-Issued Disability ID: an official ID or certificate eg a disability card, a disabled parking permit, or similar documentation.
  • - Doctor's Note or Medical Certificate: A letter or certificate from a licensed doctor outlining the guest’s condition or disability access requirements.
  • - Membership in Disability Organizations or Accessibility pass: membership cards from disability advocacy or support organizations, accessibility pass or cards.

Verification documents or proof of disability will be requested by our team to ensure we are safeguarded against misuse of our policy. Documents must be current and valid at the time of the visit.

We aim to ensure Waterbom Bali can offer and foster an inclusive environment that accommodates all guests fairly and respectfully. If you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to email our team on info@waterbom-bali.com

Slide Restrictions

Heads up! Please check our slide restrictions before you visit.

We want you to have the best day ever, without any surprises! To keep everyone safe and sliding comfortably, we follow International Safety Standards, which means there are some height and weight limits on certain rides.

Quick snapshot:
• For kids, some of the bigger slides you need to be above 100 cm tall to slide (but we have an expansive new Kids Area with no height minimum for you to enjoy.
• Weight limits vary: single riders up to 136 kg can ride most slides, for riders over 145kg, there are some limitations for safety.
