In celebration of Nyepi, our internal team came together to build a sustainable Ogoh-Ogoh, made from discarded and other natural materials that were repurposed to bring a story to life. Their creation, “Ki Taru Bingin,” is a representation of a respected wise elder whose presence merges with the strength and spirit of the banyan tree, representing wisdom rooted in nature. A reminder to live in harmony with the environment, respect the guidance of elders, and care for the earth and all living beings.

Joining us from the USA are DJ Spinna and Kool DJ Red Alert, masters of the craft who helped define the golden era. DJ Spinna is a globally respected selector and producer known for his genre-blending sets and collaborations across hip-hop, soul, funk, and house. Kool DJ Red Alert is a legendary New York radio DJ and hip-hop trailblazer whose influence helped launch some of the biggest names in the scene. All happening by the pool in Oasis Gardens!

Chinese New Year was celebrated with colour and energy at Waterbom this year. On Tuesday, 17 February, a Barongsai performance moved through the park as guests gathered to watch the lively lion dance, accompanied by the dramatic sounds of beating drums.

We’re incredibly grateful to share that Waterbom Bali has been awarded the Tri Hita Karana (THK) Lifetime Achievement Award 2025, a recognition that honours destinations demonstrating a long-term commitment to sustainable tourism and the Balinese philosophy of harmony.

Every year, we like to bring a little festive spirit into the park — always with intention. This year, that meant supporting local craftsmanship, staying connected to our roots, and creating something sustainable that can return gently to the earth afterwards. Aug 2025 - We’ve got some sweet news, Dough Lab has officially opened inside Waterbom and we are taste-testing all the cookies for you! Famous for its artisanal cookies made with premium ingredients, Dough Lab is here to add a delicious twist to your waterpark experience.

Created by our team. Inspired by our park and our philosophies. When we asked our staff to express what Harmony means to them through mural art, they created thoughtful and vibrant artworks, which we turned into a retail range full of soul, colour and energy.

Our Waterbom & Friends event returned to our Oasis Gardens area of the park on Saturday 5 July, with a laid-back afternoon that eased into an energetic night of music, good company, and tropical vibes.

Zuluu Hill is the latest addition to Waterbom Bali’s Kids Area — a tropical, multi-level mini mountain with 6 slide options and designed for young adventurers to explore and gain their sliding confidence!

We’re excited to launch our new range with Indosole, a like-minded brand turning waste into eco-friendly gear. Our exclusive Waterbom-inspired flip-flops, T-shirts and caps are wearable statements of shared values: reducing waste and respecting our island.

FlowShow Fridays returns this June & July - come watch the team show off their skills on the wave at our FlowRider area, challenge your mates to a Beer Pong Battle or grab a burger and beer for your lunch and enjoy the energy!

At Waterbom, as part of our sustainability goals, we aim to send zero waste to landfill, so we make our own organic compost onsite to help achieve this. Learn about how we do this in our composting facility at the park.

We brought a little bit of local culture for our guests to experience in the park this week, from Rindik melodies to traditional offerings and Balinese dancers, thank you for joining the spirit of Galungan with us!

Nyepi is preceded by a parade of Ogoh-ogoh - intricately crafted creatures designed to drive away negative energy before the island enters a day of silence and reflection. In just 5 weeks, four talented members of our Waterbom team transformed old waterpark materials into our very own Ogoh-ogoh.

Big thrills in a kid-sized package, inspired by our iconic Boomerang slide, this adventure is an ideal way for our little thrill-seekers to level up their experience in the park!

We are adding more reasons for kids to smile at the park this year! Three times the size of the current kids playground, the new 1-hectare kids and family area will be a hub for exploration, discovery, and play.

In Bali, the streets are crowded with an overwhelming number of stray dogs and cats. With no effective measures in place to control breeding, their numbers keep growing, leading to widespread issues like malnutrition, injuries, and diseases. This vicious cycle of overpopulation and health problems puts their welfare at risk.

At Waterbom, we are focused on minimizing our environmental impact and becoming the world’s most sustainable waterpark. As part of our energy-reducing initiatives, we have installed solar panels to cut down our dependency on fossil fuel.
